Rod Sale

5 posts in this topic

Vados Bait has Shimano Compre and Crucial rods on sale.

Buy one, get the second for $10 or 40% off if you just buy one.

Too bad I just bought that St. Croix Avid, or I'd definitely be taking advantage!

That's a steal, plus if you break it they replace it. I love Shimano!

The Shimano rods only have a 1 year warrenty, don't they? I had a Shimano medium action rod break with very little tension over the summer. The warrenty card that I had said 1 year and I had it for about 14 months at that point....the Gander guide series rods have a lifetime guarantee.

I think it depends on the model. I believe the higher-end models (ie the Crucial) are lifetime warranties.

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
