Good Smallmouth bass adivce for mid semptember

i plan to head up and fish smallies with my dad this weekend and i was wondering if i could get some good advice.

any help is appreciated.

Find rocks/reeds and you should find fish. If it's calm water, stay off the edge of the reef & cast up to the boulders, if it's windy you can move in pretty much right on top of them (3-5 feet has been key for me the past couple of weeks). Start with a mushroom jighead with a 4-5" pumpkin colored grub/twister-tail and you shouldn't have problems cathing a few nice september hogs.
