9/11 Remembrance

7 posts in this topic

Please say a prayer for all affected that day. I hope that includes yourself.

Please also say a prayer for ourselves and leadership that we may stay highly focused on the elimination of the terrorists and support of our troops who are sacrificing to accomplish that objective.

May we all be of one mind when it comes to prayers for the elimination of terrorists and terrorism for any reason.

Remember 9/11

I watched the rerun of the 9-11 reports from 2001.

Still breaks my heart and brings a grown man too tears watching these attacks.

May we never Forget !!!

God bless the families and all who helped during that tragic day.

I wish the show on ABC about the events leading to 9/11 would have been on every channel. Too many people forget too easily. It makes me so sad and yet so mad at the same time. This event needs to be burned into everyones memory till we defeat those who would not think twice about killing you and your wife and children.

I thought the CBS special they aired on WCCO this morning was very appropriate! They had moderators read those innocent American's that were victimized by terristic acts 5 years ago. My prayers and thoughts go out to those families that lost loved ones.

I bought a VHS tape called something like CNN Remembers 9/11 and I watched it after the Vikes game last night. It contains a ton of footage from that day, some of which I never even saw that day (like the video of the first plane hitting the first tower). It was very stirring watching it last night. I had bought it a couple years ago and never watched it. Next year the oldest kid will watch it with me and we'll talk about what happened. When the girls get a little older I'll watch it with them too. Wish more people remembered that day as vividly as I did after watching that show. I didn't think I had forgotten anything, I've tried very hard not to, but I realize now that the intensity of the feelings had gone away, UNTIL I watched that again last night...

NEVER FORGET and GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.!!!!!!

Have not fished down there but up river a little way in the Ramsey area I have been doing well on smallies Either trolling raps up river bouncing of the bottom or drifting down pounding the shorelines with meps spinners.   Meps are one of my favorite lures for the river that and buzz baits.   The Mississippi is fun because you have a chance at catching anything.

Go to the fields off hwy 10 where diamonds used to be and where the boat launch is in Ramsey. I plant feathers and stuff there sometimes there is a variety of tall grass around there.   the best pre buy program I have found is at golden meadows. if you put money on an account before aug 26 the prices are  depending on when you go Aug. 20 - Sept. 4
      Sept. 5 - Oct. 2
      Oct. 3 - Nov. 6
      Nov. 7 - Dec. 4
      Dec. 5 - Jan. 1, 2017 COST PER BIRD

      $16.50
      $17.50
      $18.50
      $19.50

Im wanting to go and fish the missisippi river by my place, there is a little inlet with some down trees, a drop off  and a little bridge that goes over the inlet. Its off of east river road at the end of 79th.  I believe its called riverview heights park. My questions is, has anyone gone fishing there? I see people there quite often and have chatted with them a little bit, but haven't gotten much out of them. It looks promising for some largemouth and catfish. if you have fished there what works good? and are they biting now? I will be there at about 5 am tomorrow morning.

This rain is keeping the rum muddy.

Nuts, I had to leave Fraser on Monday for some business and a trip, but I think your MO is the right one. However, there are a lot of small (10-12") fish on the reef tops as of Sunday. You might try deeper water just off the tops. I'm not a fan of bobber fishing (like to feel the bite) but it's been a consistent winning method. Dick

Thanks for the info guys. We did end up going and launching at Beanies. Ten bucks to launch. Not too bad. There is a for sale by owner sign posted there but it's obviously private for now. As for the fishing, it was slow. Pulled the plug at noon and headed for the Mississippi. Did much better there.

Thanks!  She is only 40 pounds at 9 months old.  Don't think she will get much bigger. I was hoping to talk with some people at the game farm next month to see if i can get a great price on a pre-buy program.    I have some pheasant feathers and she goes crazy when she see me grab them.  I need to find a field that the grass is not chest high to plant them or better yet get some game birds and tie the feet off and plant those.    If you drive by Round Lake and see a red Tundra stop in and say hello. I am there most nights when it gets this hot.
