Sturgeon

Looking to go sturgeon fishing for the first time on the croix. Can anyone give what part of the river would be best. dont need to be real specific just a general area.

heading out the weekend of the 7th of October.

I will not get spot specific, but I dont have to. I dont mean to sound vague, but *Lake St Croix* has a good population. Anywhere in the open area(Taylors falls to Prescott) will give a decent chance to catch a fish that time of year. 30' of water and some shad(baitfish) is a good reason to throw an anchor and cast.
