Use the Sugar Point public launch. It's right on Boy Bay and it's a nice launch facility. It's on any map of Leech Lake...

Right off of CR-136 on the north side of Boy Bay.

I believe is called Pointview Public Landing. It's a very nice landing and well protected for landing any boat... Good bass fishing starts just to the east of it wink.gif

Good Luck!

I was up there about ten days ago and the snow and lake ice were melting fast.
The forecast for the next week looks good for making ice.

Dean iced over today.  Schmidt has ice about 30 yards out then open water. Been a few years now, Pelican may be snappin' again.

This year started out like last year but starting tonight the temps are nothing like last year. There will probably be vehicles by the 26th. I'm still feeling good about sleds on the 17th.

Cheapest I've found is Proctor Builders.

Last year it was Dec. 26th before they opened the road up out of Morris pt. for 4 wheelers. Thinking its looking like that again this year. Hope I can hold out. Between the ice show and this website getting very fired up.
