Looking for a black lab puppy

7 posts in this topic

Does anyone out there have any recomendations for breeders of a black lab? I am not so much looking for a hunting dog but rather a dog that can be trained to be well mannored and a good family dog. Any information would be great. I have been looking for a while and have a few leads but any information would be great.

Iceman I see you are in New Hope as I am. If you want to see my British lab you are more than welcome. I can give you my experiences and recommendations for a breeder if you are interested. Drop me an e-mail if you would like.

I have a black lab from a breeder that I think is about the best there is. If you want to e-mail me I can send you a link to their web site.

Thanks for the help. I decided on a British Red lab pup and have not regreted it yet. Only 2 days into the puppy scene but she has been doing great. She has not had a mistake yet and is already starting to get a hang of where she needs to go when she has to go potty. Really smart dog. Thanks again for the help

Who wants to fish in the dark, best thing about Vermilion is the ability to catch walleyes during bankers hours.  I would recommend looking into one of the private rentals on the lake (VRBO, etc.), most will have a private dock and offer more privacy.

Don't you people have jobs or something else to be doing then cleaning out the lakes all day!

Hey Bob,   We are coming up this weekend, fishing for the entire day on Saturday the 21st.  Osakis has been on my radar as have a few of the chain lakes, however with it being so long since I have fished in the area, I just wanted to see if there were any other suggestions for a decent multi-species lake or at least one with a chance for having a respectable crappie - walleye combo.   We also have been looking into Mary, Ida, Irene and Oscar.
