Coming up Labor Day weekend!

3 posts in this topic

I am going to be staying at the Anchor Inn over labor day weekend. I have fished the bridge there, but have never been out on the lakes. What can I expect?

Sept. is a really good time to be fishing Sand Lk chain. You should contact the resort you're staying at about a week before you head up. The folks you'll be staying with are very knowledgeable and probably the nicest people around. They'll let you know what happens to be biting and what you need to bring along.Good luck and enjoy your stay.

sand has been doing alittle better lately and I think it will maybe be good this fall. the walleyes should be shallow with jig and minnow and the crappies should be going well on their deep haunts

Had a good day with some good friends today.  Was nice to have a MANY fish day for a change this season.  The crappies weren't the biggest but we sorted through for a decent fry.  The pikers were a nice addition for the last weekend of the season.  We fished from 8 to 22 feet with a vast mix of presentations.   The oddest thing was the start to the day when this button buck slammed into the deck railing and broke its neck while we were getting ready to go out.  We called in for the permit and enjoyed some fresh blackstrap with the fresh fish for dinner.

That sucks when you lose gear. Tom way to go trying to find the owner of  the lures.
