Anyone have one of these? There are some features I like such as the quick release and swivel base. Is this a good product or am I better off spending a few more $$'s and getting something with a little better resolution?

Trout -

I can't comment on the 535, but last year I bought a 585c and love it.

I was in the same position as you, wondering is the extra money worth it, seeing as I work 80+ hours / week in the summer, but figured, what the heck, probably have it for the next 10-15 years anyways, so what's an extra $100 or so over 10 years??

I've been completely satisfied since.

Another beautiful day on the ice Thursday. I got skunked but my buddy Scott got a couple of nice ones- a 28" and a 29".

Are you saying people with better reports are being dishonest?

Sounded like a good mix of fish.    The walleyes I lost were because I couldn't get a good enough hook set on em.  I was using my light action crappie rod with 2 lb test.  Even the ones I iced had the hook come out while the fish were in the hole.  I was just quick enough to get a hand on em.   I tried the same presentation on a walleye rod with 8 lb test and never actually got bit.
