Big Sandy Report 6/4

Recommended Posts

Hello; sunshine; can you come out and play on the weekend?

Yikes would the rain leave us alone for a full day or what!

Last weekend I learned about CHANGE.

We all can sit on this board and talk about how most of the walleyes are

in 6-10ft of water next to the weeds……..but …….. remember…….

at any given time the eyes can be off those sand/gravel bars in 13-20ft of water!

It is easy to forget to check those spots when your going from place to place to place.

I was lucky and a good stiff wind pushed my son and I off a particular gravel bar and

BANG we were in business. It was to late for the contest but provided some great fishing

for Sunday after the rain stopped. We also mixed in those nasty little pike down in the 20ft range.

I also learned that even though my 12 year old loves to fish walleyes with me that he would

rather put on some shallow running cranks and catch pike every 20ft!

Quote “Dad, catching is still catching” gota lov’em

Will be up again this weekend

Bring on the sunshine!
