Was wondering what condition the ice is in. Thinking of coming up saturday. Most likely out of McKinley Is there any plowed roads yet and how far out are people going out. If so how have any of you guys been doing this year through the ice. Thanks for any info in advance

I was out Sunday and there are some plowed roads, some guy was out there plowing, KUDOS to him. laugh.gif There was about 16 to 18 inches of ice. The snow off the plowed road was about 7 or 8 inches deep, could travel OK with my Ranger 4x4. And yes there was some action, not fast and furious but I caught enough for a meal and threw back some little ones. cool.gif

There was a plowed road as far out as Birch Is. Tuesday.

Only about 5 to 8 inches of snow on the ice.

Good going even off of the road with my 4x4.
