Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

I have a copyright on my future dog to name it Steve. boy or girl...doesn't matter.

As for your dogs name...I don't like "dog" names...dogs are our hunting partners and companions. I like normal names, ie...Kate, Susie, Rachel...a name that people don't normally give a dog.

Any name you give them though they always end up Sh*** Head at some point!!

We named our last puppy 'Katy', but her mother's name was Ladybug, so Katy's name morphed into Katybug.

We were always going to name a dog Rodger, don't know why it just sounded kind of cool to us. Since it's a female go with Sally. I don't know why, just because.

My lab is black and we named her Dale. Seemed fitting.

My GSP is Jeffrey. I don't know why, he just looks like a Jeffrey.

If you have kids, let them name the dog. You'll get some interesting name choices, that's for sure.

The other name I liked was after my favorite beer " Summit " one of my buddies did name his yellow lab that!

EXCELLENT idea...Bristol. Then when she has a best hunting spot you could name it Thunder Valley!

I have often thought that Dee Oh Gee would be a good name. However, in honor of Midnite (the black lab that I have now) the next one is going to be named Shadow. Every time I stop short I get bumped in the arese by my dog! Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo

F.H., Fish deep and slow with lindys or jigs with minnows. Sometimes smaller minnows will work best at other times large suckers or shiners will get more hits. Cliff

I'll venture a guess and say 1st weekend of December we'll have a good 4" to walk on.  Then it will continue to freeze to at least 12" before it gets snowed on

I have the above motor that I use for duck hunting. When the temperature gets into the 30s (like this coming weekend), it can sometimes get stuck in either forward or reverse if it kills at low idle. In the 2nd picture, the throttle is open slightly. The curve part is attached to the shifter. It is in forward. If the motor dies and I close the throttle, the shifter can't be put into neutral (it needs to move up) because the it is blocked by the part above it. I need to take the top off and manually move the throttle closed (to the left) like the 1st picture. I think there is some grease that lubricates the throttle as it rotates under the flywheel. When cold, the grease is thick and sticks. Is there any lubricant I can spray up in the area that the throttle rotates? I'm hesitant to do so because of the electrical components in the area.

Coming up this weekend with a friend of mine, even though the weather looks terrible. Any advice for how to catch them when mother nature brings the hammer down?  Highs in the mid 30's, lows in the low 20's.   On Friday I had a muskie in the upper 40s hit a 19 1/2" walleye.  As usual she let go at boatside, but it was fun while it lasted.
