Winter Smallies?

I don't post here alot but I did fish the Monti area quite a bit. I'm suffering major withdrawal and was wondering if I would have any success at all even though I would freeze my butt off if I made the drive back up to Monti.

The only thing limiting you would be that fozen feeling in your fingers and toes. The fish will bite. You may need to look for subtle pattern changes, but tubes, jigs, and other slow presentations will work. Heck even buzzers can produce if you hit a warm front. Bring a thermometer with you. IF the plant is discharging, the water at Montissippi can be in the mid 50's, if not...... then you might consider ice fishing in stead. Just my .02 grin.gif
