Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

I've been looking on the internet for kennels in the Isle area, or anywhere close to 169 on the way up to the lake. Can anyone help me out?? I have a yellow lab that I would occasionally like to board while I'm up fishing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ole

Now there's an idea, the reason I'm asking for help with finding a kennel is because I don't want to take her with, but thanks for the response.

Besides, I've located 3-4 kennels along 169 that I will be trying out.

Ole: I use Granite City Pet Hospital in St Cloud. Not only a Vet Clinic also boarding facility. Very nice setup, unfortunaltey a little off the beaten path for you. There is anothe just east of St Cloud on hwy 23. It is on the south side of the hwy just past the Honda House. These may not work at all, but thought I'd throw it out there. Bill

bturck and dibbs,

Thanks, the St. Cloud and the one on 23 would be a little far out of the way, but thank you for responding.

DIBBS, I'm very interested in the one east of Happy's, I'll see if I can find a ph. # online, if I can't I'd really appreciate if you could find it. Again, thanks.

DIBBS, I tried online without any luck.

Ole

Let us know how it goes. I have a cabin on Linwood just off Whiteface. Be nice to find good spots in the area, seeing as for whatever reason I never fish Linwood...

What a morning jigging on one of the best, fastest bites of the summer for me Tuesday morning of this week.  I had a guide trip but they cancelled that morning and I almost stayed on shore. Since I had the boat in the water and everything was set I went out by myself to check out a couple of spots.  I didnt get very far

Low water continues to be the issue on the Red. Below the dams still remains sketchy so use boats at your own risk.  The fishing remains stable, similar to last week in that the fish are spread out but in the holes in the middle of the river.  Short 15-20 minute sits on spots keeping the bait fresh looking for the active catfish.
Bait is still heavy to frogs and frozen suckers with goldeyes working some but it seems that frog and sucker are the best.  As water cools down I suspect fresh sucker will come into play as well.

I used to have many fields but some guides came in and pay for the fields. I am down to 3 farms but they don't have any small grains this year. So I am going to take the early season off. As I know the geese will use some ponds to rest and I have access to them so I will wait until the regular season to pick off a few geese.

That's what I planned on doing while I bow hunted but wasn't sure since I got one in spring if I could get another. Thanks

I was marking various things, but I didn't note a correlation between marking something and catching the walleye.  Also was catching smallies on the same reefs, although maybe at a little different depth.   In fact I was surprised when the walleye hit.  Likewise the other one the next evening.
