Spring Predictions

1 post in this topic

We all know spring is here and the river is now open. I can't wait to get out on the river and wet a line. What do you guys think will be the trick to catching fish this spring in the Anoka to Monticello stretch of river? I believe that 1/8 jigs tipped with live bait or plastics will be hot this year (like always). I've always caught fish on Mepps spinners. I have a feeling topwater will be dynamite this year (I hope!).

As far as location goes, I believe holes and shore structure like overhung trees, brushpiles, rock piles, pilings, etc. will hold the most fish this year.
