These look like great boats - anyone know how they perform on open water, like a lake?

Hi Robert, in response to your question concerning river pro jets. I have fished out of both the bass type and deep walleye rigs. They draw just a few inches and less once you get it down. These are the ultimate, the new wave for sure, at least for up around our area. What they are not is a lake boat, they don't take waves at all.
The d.n.r has purchased a couple as well as the in-fisherman staff, awesome river boats
