Falling water level

It's time to break out the canoes, john boats and fly rods because the Mississippi river at Clearwater is too low for my Ranger! The flip side to this is you can catch a bunch of smallies on fly rods and poppers by site fishing current breaks such as boulders. At least that is what I found out this past Friday. I was able to navigate up river from the Clearwater bridge access for approximately 3 miles, but there are alot of mid-stream rocks you have to be aware of. Fly rod fishing for bass is fun so give it a try. Nav.
