Monticello

Hey! Anyone know what the river levels are like in the Monticello area? I haven't been up since spring and I heard it was very low now. Is it lower than it's been in the last few years? Maybe I'll stick to the waders. Thanks, Vern

Hey Vern,
If it's anything like what it is around St Cloud, it is low, but not too bad. The water clarity is fairly decent as well, let me know when youre heading up, maybe you could drive a few more miles and we could hook up for some smallie action.

Thanks GullGuide! I'm not sure when I'll be up, but I fish that area for smallies a lot in October right into the winter months. I'd like to check out the dam in St. Cloud sometime. Have you fished below the dam much? I've never been there. We're heading up to the Rainy for sturgeon next week, but I should get up there after that. Vern
