Minnesota Fishing Report Clubs - ONLY 20 FREE MEMBERSHIPS Per Area - Join Today - FREE   03/08/2018

Fishing Minnesota has added a new menu item (see above) called Fishing Report Clubs. It's a way to keep the really good fishing reports coming and being shared only with those who also provide detailed fishing reports. We will only approve new members who request to join if they have already posted a recent fishing report in the area forum, associated with the Fishing Report Club area  you want to join. Initially we are going to limit the number of regular memberships, in the Fishing Report Clubs, to the top 20 members in each Club, to those with the best frequency and quality fishing reports provided in the club and less so in the regular fishing report forum open to all members. The higher quality fishing report reserved for the club of course. If  you want see detailed fishing reports/tips  around your area and will share your detailed fishing report as soon as you join, then Join Now! Some of the clubs are starting to fill fast. Use the Fishing Reports Club link in the Menu above (after you've posted a fishing report in the regular area forum) and request to Join.

You know what we all love...

When you enchant people, you fill them with delight and yourself in return. Have Fun!!!

I'm in the process of finding a puppy to buy for Christmas 2004. I have 2 little girls so temperment is very important! We will be using the dog for mostly grouse and a little pheasent and duck hunting. Would like to find a pup in MN or Western Wisconsin as we live in the NE subs of the Twin Cities, so I would like to be able to check the mother of the dog out before I put down money on a pup. Our family is on 1 income, so $1000 is out of our range and $100 is too cheap to get what I would expect from this pup, but in this range. I would not mind a very dark color. What ever sex of pup we get, it will be fixed.

Please email me at or call me at 651-257-4085 with good or bad info about different breeders in my area or other info. Thanks for taking the time to read my post!

After 3 months with my English Setter, I would highly recommend one.

I bought mine from LeSueur river Kennels near Waseca. They have a web page and I can send it to you if you want.

I bought a male for $350 and he has been great, the breeder owns both the male and female and they are of the smaller breed, both parents are in the 40-45 pound range

Wild Willie

If you are interesteted in an American Brittany I know who to point you to...I just got off the phone with the breeder. He has a new litter of pups born July 2nd. They will be available the end of August. Three females (two already gone) and five males. These pups are two steps away from Nolan's Last Bullet (A.K.A. Buddy). The most winningest dog in the NSTRA (check out Beeline Brittany's web site.) I have a year old male from the same two parents of this litter. All I can say is that he is a wonderful dog who shows lots of potential. Let me know if you are interested. I think he is asking $325-$350. Great breed, great pedigry, great people and a great price to can you lose!

Swamp Scooter

I know where there are Vizsla hunting pups ready to go. They are a good breed for the hunter that does a variety of things. Points in the woods and field and very friendly for the home. Loves kids. Only one coat of hair too. They swim and do water work as well. Medium sized- 40-60#.

I would contact the GWP club of the Twin Cities. They are going to be your best source of breeders to stay away from and those that come with good recomendations.

I took a set of my mother's ear- rings and made lures out of them.. Do not remember if i ever caught anything on them. But they were flashy.

lakes like Ottertail Lake had 1000-1500 castles on it this year.  we are very concerned about pressure.  good points in this thread that could apply to many other minnesota large lakes.

I think everyone buying a wheel house and heading out for days at a time is what has really caused fish to move out of the area more than anything.  I think it would be interesting to have the major resorts track the fish cleaned by their guides summer verse winter.  It sure seems to me they take way more people out ice fishing than summer fishing.

There may be way more pressure in the winter but the harvest is MUCH higher in the summer.  Fish are far more active and feeding heavily in the summer months than they are in the cold water months.  Plus in the summer there is this thing called hooking mortality.  The days of keeping 4 or 6 walleyes and 10 crappies are coming to an end.  Its unsustainable virtually everywhere including a large body of water like LOTW.
