Where do I get on the ice?

I've seen cars driving on the ice and heard about people driving from the MN side to WI side but have not been able to find any places to access the river and drive on the Saint Croix.

Is there a place in Minnesota to drive on the ice or do I need to go around to the Wisconsin side.

some people were driving right down the beach at bayport park, but I doubt that is legal. I did see more people coming from farther south at the next marina. I'm not sure of the name but i think there is a restuarant there. Maybe clyde's or something like that.
