I am heading back over to that strech of river in about a half hour. This is my second trip over there this weekend and I will post a report when I get back in tonight.

Going to William this weeekend to camp and probably doing the canoe run from Taylors Falls to William. Wanting to fish along the way and around the park and since I've never fished the area I'm looking for suggestions for bait, presentationa for smallies, walleye, whatever is biting. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Found a few fish again. Nothing great to talk about. The white bass started hitting close to dark on on of the wing dams. Found a few eyes there also. Trolled up a couple of walleyes on walleye divers. Make sure and check out the channels that go into the back waters. I will pull up on these spots and throw some top water baits and then switch over to jigs and lindy rigs. Catch a few fish and move on to the next. Some hold fish and some dont.
Minnows and crawlers are both taking fish. Minnows seem to be tough to keep alive now so I have been bringing some rubber imatation ones the the white bass seem to prefer over the real ones.
Good luck

I had the greatest of times out there a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I spent our Honnymoon cannoeing the Florida Everglades. Wilderness!!!

I was up there by myself exploring the "back waters" and got hiung up on downned trees.

It was great. I had to get out of my bass boat and push it off under water trees.

I didn't get much fishing in, but it was a wonderful experience. Good Luck. Barry
