Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Croix repo 10/13

10/13 The surface water temperature is stable and holding, the temperature even went from 56 to 57 today, the longer it stays in the upper 50's the better. Fish have been coming in best lately from 7:00-10:00, however the 4:00- 6:30 bite has been very good as well. Which is unusual for the Croix - where the mid day is normally chow time. Big walleyes are still on the bite, a 28.5" hogeye came in today at Beanies, quality 17-19 inch eyes and 14 - 16" saugers were also brought in by a couple lucky anglers. Actively jigged jigs with a tail and larger minnow will put fish in the the boat as well as trolled crankbaits. Work the same structure as listed in recent reports. (Deep sand 20-30 feet) 10/10 Sturgeon fishing is hot - legal fish are coming in daily at Beanies. Also I've recently updated my site with some fine St. Croix walleye photo's from the recent hot spell for anyone interested in viewing them check out www.croixsippi.com.

Looks like you had a better bite than I did. I really didn’t expect all my gear to be that bad hand pulling out.  Big time failure on my part to not bring my wheeler.  I have too much of a spearing Jones to have left it all back at the truck. I brought a few gills, a seed, a crappie and a 25 inch walleye home.  Biggest gill went 8.  I went through a half dozen heavy pike suckers on the tip up but never dropped the spear.  Only saw one 20 incher that never really got in the hole.  The walleye inhaled the sucker and got the hooks in the throat. Glad you guys got some nice ones!

I found a new unopened Minnesota V6.0 on Craigslist for 75$ and it was only 2 miles from my house saved me a trip to Cabela's.

I’m sure we will still be waiting for a bit for even walkable ice but hopefully people in the area can keep there eyes and ears open and let the rest of us know how the ice is and when it get here.
