Big Northern Pike

5 posts in this topic

Folks our friend P.P. will be posting a little info about the beast Pike he recently caught on the Croix, P.P. word to the wise -try not to get to specific in your location, least you want it "pounded" by about 50 anglers! But give general areas to look for.

Anyway Looking back on some of my own nice catches of hog Northerns - September has been one of the key times, September and the first part of June!

Great catch in advance P.P.!

Keep catchin'

The God's smiled on the Poon yesterday Boy's, as I watched all the boat's in the fishing tourney speed off. Then I put a nice little sucker on the hook and put him out to swim. Big crash on top then the fight was on, I wasnt sure what I had till he got 2 feet from shore. Then he jumped right at me, almost made a big mess in my shorts. God, what a nice fish..... 39" and 16 lbs. a Pike for the wall and a story to last for a long time.

Keep your line tight Boy's, P.P.

Well Boy's it was so windy and choppy that only the right set up could get out to where the fish were.fishing top water in condition's like these might seam like a waste of time to most. But the Poon was all over it, two nice Wolve's. Not much to look at unless you held them or tried to take the hook's out, Right Turk!!!! These are the day's to go out and have a ball on TOP, just look for the right condition's .... that doesnt mean you'll like them.

Keep your line tight, P.P.
