has anybody caught any fish around the high banks yet if so let me know my son wants me to take him but he is young needs to hammer them to stay with it and I do not have a camra or depth finder so I need to know the spots before we go Thanks

We checked out the ponderosa yesterday afternoon and there was open water along the East bank and by the dam. There were quit a few sled tracks going on the lake though. Are you the Big Slab that has the post on the South Central forum? If you are we fished Shields Sat. and caught 8"+ perch almost continously for 3 hours. Only left to watch the game. My son and I want to get back there soon. We could hook up if you are interested? We have all the toys, but put them away and just site fished down a third hole it was a blast! Big Slab...I would not trust the lake yet for driving so walking or a sled is in order to getting around. The high banks will give up fish now and there is probably plenty if ice in that area to be safe. The long stairway is another area to look for the fish right now...facing the stairs, fish to the right almost up to the first house. Look for deeper water wherever you are out there.

CrappieTom, are the high banks the shore across from the guy with the airplanes? If so where from there are the long stairs? My grandfather used to have a cabbin out there so i am fairly familiar with the lake but has been a few years since i've been on it. Also is there any where to get on the ice by the airplane guy or do i have to walk from the ponderosa? Thanks for any help!
