crane and sand point bite

Hello,
will be heading to Crane Lake for the week on Saturday. I usually fish Crane, Sand Point, Little Vermillion and East end of Namaken, the U.S. sides. Was curious if anyone is having any luck with the Walleyes in these areas. was up earlier this year and walleye action was slow but the Northerns are biting good.

I dont here much about Crane and Sandpoint, I'm surprised nobody from there ever posts info, oh well, there loss.

Namakan has been the better lake for walleyes
as of late, on the East end, I know the Blind Pig Narrows is a talked about area, although I'm not familiar with it. I'd fish reefs at about 28' plus for eyes, and deep water adjacent to shallow weedy bays for pike, it never hurts to try jerk baits or husky jerks in the shallows for lots of fun and action. We were up last weekend July 25-27. Fishing has been slow, had our best luck on Little Vermilion south of the narrows. Also had some success at the Vermilion Gorge for walleye and smallmouth mainly using jigs, spinners and plain hooks with leeches and crawlers. One morning tried Swansons bay on Sand Point for northerns with crank baits caught nothing but hammer handles. But the wildlife show was fabulous. Watched two different families of Otters in and out of the water doing their antics and a pair of Eagles feeding their nestlings. My wife and I don’t fish that hard usually a few hours in the morning but just enjoy being out on the water at sunrise.

Guts, I know the blind pig channel area and will give that a try , usually has a lot of boat traffic but if the fish bite it does'nt matter.
Iguy, I never thought of the gorge this time of the year , I'll check it out . Little Vermillion always seems to produce some walleye, I should have some luck there.
Even if the fish are'nt biting I can't think of a better area to spend vacation.
