Lock Your Fishing Equipment Up!!!!

6 posts in this topic

We have a group of worthless people around here going and breaking into peoples boats and stealing everything they can.

Sunday night my boat was totally stripped down.

If anyone were to here of somebody selling G. Loomis rods, Shimano Curado's and Shimano Stradics reels please call immediately so I can find a tall oak tree with a noose knot that would fit these **** cowards just perfect.

Seriously, lock your stuff up so it doesn't happen to you. It's sad that people are that low.

Pleas Call If you were to here of any body selling something that doesn't seem right !!!!

Sorry to hear that! I am in the process of building a garage so my baby doesn't sit outside all the time. Sure is tough to haul all the tackle inside after every trip!

Did they break into a garage or was your boat outside? In the city?

I just took photos of all my tackle just in case punks try it on me! I'll keep my eyes open.

Check your local pawn shops and inform them. They take all the info from their customers, or they are at least supposed to.

CD, great idea about taking pictures, thanks. Never thought I would need to do something like that with my fishing equipment but sounds like we got some low lifes in the area. I'll be taking my cam corder out this weekend and filming everything I got.

Not sure if any cabins were hit, but the same weekend that smallie got ripped off, there was a rash of shoreline theft on Victoria, and Geneva, and Darling. Cruised up to docked boats during the night apparently...take smallies advice and lock your stuff up...an keep detailed inventory just in case.

Nice fish and plenty of them is what has been happening this week. Almost as many slots as keepers.  We have been jigging but pulling spinners or cranks works great too. One of the attached pics is what is showing up in the deep mud, mostly Saugers now but more Walleyes and tons more fish piling in the next few weeks. Joe Paradis from Plummer Mn out with me this morning behind the fish board and, from Thursday fishing buddy Mike Lindholm with the biggest, fattest, best looking 25 incher I have seen in a while. Having plenty of fun fishing in the wind

Bugs have been brutal all summer up their.   Glad you had fun!!!

Well, we went back up there to make up for last month. There was no making up anything! Bugs were horrendous, and the fishing was slow to nonexistent. The biggest point of going back up was to fish West Bearskin and Two Island lakes, and we didn't make it to either this time around either.    We still had lots of fun. Did a lot of hiking and sightseeing, particularly on the way up and he way home. Seen a lot of things I've never seen before. Was nice to sit out by the harbor and eat Sven & Ole's. Definitely a lot more people up there in July, as opposed to June. Well, we'll be back in October.

BTW the "no fish on my spots" was just a riff on Tom''s "no fish under my dock".  Sorry for any confusion.  I'm not much of a musky fisherman, so wouldn't know if there are or not, really.

It spit her out after the first bite..

Have heard of people getting bit before but that was a really nasty looking wound!! And some claim that Muskies do not like to eat walleyes! People must taste better! Cliff

My last trip to Mille Lacs I lost a big eye right before I saw it with the jiggin rap...Then 10 minutes later I hooked a 28.5" eye and that was the most scared I've been fighting a fish lol... Every head shake I was darn near dropping my rod tip in the water lol.
