I have the last week of January off and im going to take 3 or 4 days and get up to Red. I dont know anything about whats available for lodging. Are there any towns within a half hour that have cheap hotels? Im open to any options..just trying to figure things out.

There are several resorts you can stay at: Rogers, Westwind, and Hudec's. About a half hour to the south in Blackduck, there are a couple motels. I've only heard good things about the Drake motel in Balckduck.

Or, just rent a sleeper!
