Not Crossing The Line

17 posts in this topic

Does anyone know the GPS coordinates to the boundy btx the Res and fishable ice? I have tried to search the MN Gov. site but no real numbers came up. The line on the topo map appears to curve? Any help or a direction to search would be appreciated.

If you see the tracks from the plane that landed there last year you are to far!!

This was discussed several times last year so I tried to look it up. Unfortunately, the site only let me search for the last 30 days. I hope one of the residents will post it again. I heard it was almost 11 miles out, and markers are visible on the north and south shores. If you head west, and are fishing alone, you may be too far

Duh!!!!

Dave and Drake; Thanks for the response. Seems like I should have learned to follow instructions in 1st grade, but sometimes I just go to fast and miss things.

If the day bite doesn't pick up people will spread out to the west. This is useful information and may help someone avoid an unpleasant experience. Would be great for a FAQ section

Roger

It's handy to look back and find things...I lost my Res Line coordanates and was supprised to find they are still available.
As much traffic as this board has I thought they would have been spooled off. Thinking about heading way out this Fri...and don't want to go to far!.

I'd say you would be too far if you catch any crappies with feathers in their backs. tongue.gif

All we need now is a dinner triangle and we'll be all set.
Ooops I said triangle now I hope the curse doesn't follow me around out there, must have lots of beverages to ward off the curse!

If you're out there tonight I'll be that speck on the horizon that is 1 mile from the line, and 1 mile beyond the other fishermen. smile.gif

The 18 inch fish are actually across the line a bit... Not much for fishing pressure out there...

this is a joke

Nuts, I had to leave Fraser on Monday for some business and a trip, but I think your MO is the right one. However, there are a lot of small (10-12") fish on the reef tops as of Sunday. You might try deeper water just off the tops. I'm not a fan of bobber fishing (like to feel the bite) but it's been a consistent winning method. Dick

Thanks for the info guys. We did end up going and launching at Beanies. Ten bucks to launch. Not too bad. There is a for sale by owner sign posted there but it's obviously private for now. As for the fishing, it was slow. Pulled the plug at noon and headed for the Mississippi. Did much better there.

i wanted a yellow lab and got over ruled on the chocolate.  Great looking dog!  Does not look 115 pounds

Thanks!  She is only 40 pounds at 9 months old.  Don't think she will get much bigger. I was hoping to talk with some people at the game farm next month to see if i can get a great price on a pre-buy program.    I have some pheasant feathers and she goes crazy when she see me grab them.  I need to find a field that the grass is not chest high to plant them or better yet get some game birds and tie the feet off and plant those.    If you drive by Round Lake and see a red Tundra stop in and say hello. I am there most nights when it gets this hot.

Awese thread! I take our golden/lab mix to Round Lake for training also. This pic is from May when it was chilly. We're having an absolute blast working together. She's a sweet dog, will do anything to please me if she understands. Only thing I have to do before the season is somehow introduce her to gunshots and that's not easy without private land. Watching her barrel through the cattails to find that dummy is awesome.

There are a few small Trout lakes in there as well but not sure how they bite in the summer? I've only Ice fished them.

Finally making it up for our first trip of the year. Strictly walleye fishing in Frazer Bay with slip bobbers around the reefs. Appreciate any fishing reports. Thanks!
