Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Just in case you have not heard Jerry and Joanni were in a head on collision recantly. It looks like Joanni was injured pretty seriously. I hope we can join together and wish her a quick recovery.

I wish Joanni a speedy recovery and will remember her in my prayers. I hope Jerry is OK too.

I met them and shot the bull with them in their tackle/bait store a couple years back. They sure seem like good people, and were very helpful to a URL rookie.

I hope they are OK. Could you post with details about how they're doing when you know more?

Thanks.

I just hate to hear this kinda thing about anybody, much less people who try to help others. I wish them a full and speedy recovery.

The last I heard Joanni is out of the hospital but it will be a slow recovery. It looks like things will be OK.

Stopped in for a short while last night to see how Jerry and Joanie were doing. Joanie has a broken neck and three broken ribs. She looked pretty tired and is pretty sore but was up and moving around...don't think much slows her down! Jerry was looking like he was pretty sore, and then he had also gone out on the lake yesterday and was measuring ice thickness, so sure that didn't help.

Talked to a mutual friend who said that Joani spent last night and tonight in the hospital as they found out that she had a collapsed lung. (Jerry's also feeling pretty sore) She said that this evening Joani was breathing better, so hopefully they've gotten her on the road to recovery.

It is good to hear that things are kinda looking up for them. I realize that it doesn't sound real good, but there are things that could be worse after that kinda of thing.

I just purchased the Humminbird Autochart Pro to use wth my Humminbird 999. After going through the 'installation guide' and the 'get started guide' that's included in the Autochart PC program, I can't find what I need to do to get this on my model Humminbird. Anyone have experience? Thanks, Paul

Did well this morning on big bay with gold spinners. 24-26 feet off the edge of a reef. Decided since they were biting we'd try the west end to see if we could catch some big fish. Put up a big zero out there. Guess they behave a bit different from end to end.  On a small reef out west had a guy pull up on us, throw a marker right on the fish and camp out right there. Kind of tough to fish spinners when someone does that. What is the etiquette on this lake when someone does that? Just fish where you want even if you run right up on them or in between them and the marker? I see the thousand dollar  depthfinder in the back of the boat, just mark a waypoint and keep the marker in the boat man. Really grinds my gears. Whoops...sorry for the rant   Never had that happen on the east end though

Coming up next weekend to pull up the docks for the last time. Yup, my brother-in-laws folks sold their place on Frazer Bay. They owned the beautiful place just west of the public boat landing. They are in their 80's and are going to stay put at their place on Arizona. Been coming up for 20 years and now I won't have a free place to vacation at. Going to have to do some surfing for rentals I guess. Anyways, how has the walleye fishing been? Guess the weather will be quite a bit cooler next week.  Thanks for all the help over the years!
