Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

I'm coming up from KC over Labor day and staying the week. Staying on Clitherall. Any updates on bass fishing in the area? Want to catch bass, bass, bass and a northern would be OK too. Fishing is tough here in Missouri, water temp 86 degrees..it cools off to about 85 at night. Any info would be appreciated. Planning on fishing several lakes during the week. Thanks.

Don't expect much difference in surface temps vs. your area...most lakes are in the 80 range. The bass fishing, on the other hand, is always great as long as you are targeting the deepest weeds in the lake. In clear lakes like Clitherall, you should be searching in the 16-20' range. Jig worms are impossible to beat in the heat of summer. If you get some good wind, the fish will rise to take a deep running crankbait also. Long casts made parallel to about 30 degrees to the weed edge is the ticket with that approach. Unless you plan on fishing prior to sun up, leave your spinnerbaits at home. Good luck!

Anyone on here been out on White Bear yet? I've seen a few people out off the Ramsey Beach area where the truck went through the other day but have not had a chance to venture out myself. Normally I hit the Belaire area early ice. Thanks!

Have you fished out there before? Is it worth putting some time in on the ice? Thanks-

Ice is scary on blue. I was out last weekend fishing next to open water north end is kinda sketchy still my buddy has been there every day this week. Still cant get close to the points only 1 inch there. Thicker by north end but its all older ice from the first freeze lots of cracks. The bay to the east towards the points and whole south end were wide open last sunday. Had 4 inches right next to it we fished as close to the point as we could get. We were 40-50 ft from open water and we got one eye. But ive never been so scared on ice before it was cracking very badly very loud and could feel the ice shifting. The walk back to access in the dark had my heart pounding and i didnt tjink we would make it back without one uf us goin through but we did make it.
