I HATE fishing with gloves on while hole hopping but I also HATE that my left hand gets very cold if there is a little wind and it gets wet when taking gills off the hook and brrrrrr! I'm a wimp! lol  Got a pair o gloves at Scheels  for 5 bucks a couple weeks ago and put them to the test today. Loved them!. Just used one on my left hand since nice enough that nothing needed on right hand. Rubbery and some stretch cloth and they worked great! normally 8 bucks.

I picked up a pair of the Clam Fleece grip gloves.  Nice fit and feel.  Havent had a chance to fish with them yet but been wearing them for everyday use.  Hands stay warm in this mild weather but will get a test this weekend when its cold.

I'll share what I mentioned out on the ice yesterday. Non-latex medical gloves work very well to keep the water and wind off a person's hands. Sometimes that's all that's needed to keep the hands warm. They also don't affect an anglers ability to feel bites, tie knots, or remove hooks from fish. They're about $5 for a box of 100.

Good tip Bass! Fished with a guy who used those, Might have to give Royces gloves a try also. I'm not a big glove fan when fishing but when I do I use wool military liners they keep my hands pretty warm even when a little wet.

I rarely wear gloves either ice fishing other then the sled ride out. I much prefer the chapped, fin poked, finger nail cracked, bleeding stumps I'm left with by the end of the season!!

The sad part is my hands are already like that from work and not fishing. Lots of lotion at night and hope the cracks repair fast.

If you want to heal cracked hands fast get some stuff called "Okeeff's Working Hands". Its a lotion that's in a small tub and it works really well and fast. Also, if you get a crack that hurts a lot put  a dab of super glue on it and the pain stops immediately.
