Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

I didn’t post much about my deer season cuz it wasn’t much of one for me.  I had a short fall due to heavy work loads at home and on the job.  I wanted to chase waterfowl and wasn’t able to do much about till November.  One weekend bow hunting in Ripley left me scratching my head, wondering if I still knew how.

When Firearms deer rolled out, my off season continued and the kids stacked up the deer before I at shot at anything.  By the time I had my first adult deer of the season in the crosshairs at less than 20 yards we were down to 1 tag left in a party of 11.  Everyone was on big buck only orders.

Now with no snow on the ground around home and everyone reporting dismal sightings, I’ve only gone as far as sighting in my ML.  We have a full freezer and I wanna start spearing before the ice thickens so much I pop a hernia pulling my blocks!

I went to kollege and wrote pretty gud but might leave some thing open to interpretation I guess. ;)

With only 1 tag open, and everyone having plenty of deer, we raised the standards dramatically.

Our season was pretty short really.  we had two deer down by 8 am sunday.  With the kids not being morning people i guess our huntimg time became limited.

My daugher did go out for one more sit on Monday afternoon and saw  a lone doe.  Things did workout for her to get  good shot however.

That was the last of it for us this rifle season as the next weekend we spent inside of ice arena's.

Thought about muzzy hunting, we have 3 deer in the freezer, no real need for more venison, and only can take a doe. So I will pass the rest of this season.

It was good year for me, just didnt  spend much time in the stand.  Looking forward to next season.

Our deer season was above average compared to what everybody else has been posting.  The only sit I had this year where I did not see a deer was opening morning, go figure.  I saw deer every sit after that, we took 4 deer for 3 people, have lots of trail cam pictures of smaller bucks and lots of does.  So barring a hard winter there should still be some deer around for next year.
