Deck is so empty without my Moe Rock. Sure do miss that boy.

His bro Polar Bear Boy likes fishen just not as much as Moe.  Loves being in big black boat but likes to SLEEP most of the time. ZZZZzzzzzz!  : )

Saturday morning out alone 8 to noon I found some Wally fishes roaming the 22' & 18' boulders picking off breakfast. Stick n Shad lures did nothing so.....Switched up as no live bait.

Caught a few nice 19"er wallys and a mess of 14"s.   Kept this one for lunch.

Wind was fun, stirs everything up so lake was ALIVE until noon then all were full I guess an no bites.

DNR guys came by mid morning for a check but it turned into a mini talk & laugh fest. Good guys. Made me smile out of the blue in that wind and our DBL boat control was a hoot. Expert tag team.  : )

Late afternoon after island chores, Bonnie an Bear Boy  joined me for fun, snacks and big smiles.

Hit lake to that morning spot, marked nothing. Tried a bit all over 100 yard oval...ZERO!

Moved two miles east, hunting,laughing, searching, having treats......."HEY ....FOUND SOME FISHYS".....fished area size of a football field till dark. 

Couple nice wallys waiting fat & hungry about 18" first few drops.  Then nothing, I could see them but no bite.

Kept at it until found a pack of hungry really nice fat fall Smallie Bass 100 yards away packed tight in a 18' boulder pile. This spot few miles away from other one fished that morning but lays out same East, West n medium deep.    Boaters zooming around me an wave, never a one stopped to talk or borrow anything.  : )    Fun stuff.   All going to the next hot bite spot,  not know I was on one just having a blast. Bonnie is a great next chix.  : )

I think in total we boated 8 nice fat bass, 1~ 36" pike fish an the wallys all in same 100 yard stretch on windy side of that little pile.

No LIVE BAIT.    Released all but one wally for lunch.  Good Stuff.

All on medium BIG rubber thumpers of different kinds in my stash over years. Plus one simple Whistler Jig n grub.

Trick was to keep boat moving about 2.5 MPH or close an kind of old school RIP JIG an DROP ever 15 sec or so.  KABLAM!    Get'n it on...       

Fun junk we do.  Good thing I forgot the Minnows when I gassed up an got milk in Virgina eh?     : )

Rain Sunday sucked as spent two hours cleaning one boat to take out. I was more wet than it.

Ohhhhh Boy that really is a fun visit.   Hit Reds Savoy hard after...Mmmmmmm power munchies.

Sorry but Reds Savoy now closed for good in original spot downtown. He died and family closed it up.

Grew up St. Paul Frogtown 60s, went school up street by capitol. Since St. Paul died bout 1996 except for Como Park........have lived on island or in Chisago City woods. Reds Savoy spinoff in HUGO is a tight LIL place that kicks it every bit as good for us older taste buds. Try it, you'll Love it.  Mmmmm gassy!  Cheer up dude, no need to feel so depressed an hack on posts..NO ONE CARES!  : )

Rumeye.  : ).  No fun unless one can mess around on here. I don't post much anymore as don't know anyone an THE MAN is Always watch. Just enjoy share a photo an some corny words now an again. Did pretty good with old school fishn n NO LIVE BAIT. Only thing good in HUGO is mini Reds!  Now they even have a lil buffet.  Power Pak-ones!!!  Sum may argue but we call it culdasac city.  : ).  Have a great week.
