Hello, Mostly bass fish I have 2 bait cast rods.

1. 7 foot med fast action Revo 6.4 I believe

2. 7 foot med moderate fast. Revo 5.4 winch.

OK I normally use 20-30 pound braid how ever I think it's to heavy.

I fish some weeds but don't do bass jigs.

I use the first rod for spinner baits and general fishing.

The second rod I use for Crankbaits.

I use spinning for Wacky rigging and swimbaits.

Any suggestions?

Is this line OK I use Power pro Should I go down in Weight.

Thanks.

Are you frogging at all? If not 15-20 braid would be fine if not you could try some 17 pound invisix flouro. I use 30 pound braid for frogs and an all around line. As far as spinning goes I'm not 100% sure all I use is 8lb mono I know it's not enough but I don't use it much and I haven't had an issue..... Yet. Hope this helps ya out.

I agree with AlwaysFishing--you can come down in line weight for braid if you're just straight up bass fishing. I personally like 30lb if there are a lot of toothy critters around. I use 50-60lb when going after pike and muskie.

Have you ever tried fireline for your spinning rod? When jigging, wacky worming, etc., I use 8-12lb fireline exclusively--you can feel EVERYTHING and no stretch is an added bonus.
