Spent about 5 hours on a small lake I have done well for pan fish in the past. Myself and about 30 other guys were out there driving or walking around and drilling holes like crazy and made the lake look like Swiss cheese! I drill about 35 holes in about 7-8 spots in 8' to 30' and never marked a fish, not one all day. Not one blip on the Vex and fished right up to evening? All the guys I talked to also never saw or caught a thing? :crazy:  The only thing I can think of is they had to all for some reason be just hanging tight to the bottom and then feeding after dark? 

 

The heart attack came when I was pretty much in the middle of the lake with not one person around me at all, hopping holes staring intently at the Vex for movement when all of a sudden. Lick, lick, nugg, nugg on my hand!  Auuuuu!

Dam big old yellow lab snuck up behind me a started liking my hand! Lol! :lol:

Pretty nice dog and after a few pets he was off to scare the crap out of the next guy across the lake! :P
