Old Map Chip in New Humminbird

Hey All,

Wondering if I am going to have limited functionality on my new Humminbird Helix unit if I go with an older map chip? Looking at the 2920 chip which was produced sometime around 2009. Just want to be sure I will have all the functionality like depth highlighting and good resolution.

2009 chip, if it's not a micro SD it won't physically fit in the Helix 5. As far as I understand, as long as you are using a Humminbird Lakemaster chip you get all the bells and whistles.

Thanks Josh! Soon after proposing the question I discovered that issue! I did end up finding a brand new chip for about $40 less than retail on eBay. Worth the search!
