Vehicles to Mud?

Anyone know if you can get a mid size SUV to the deeper mud?

Do resorts have vehicle traffic heading to boot or center bar area?

Thanks

From barnicles today you get out to the north flats, I  don't know how far south you could go. I had 16-18 inches of ice and very minimal snow.

Thanks Scuplin, sounds like I'll be on the phone Friday here calling some places and see who can get me where and then develop a plan.

I should have a report from Mille Lacs Mud on Monday morning.

I was out of rocky reef on Monday, no road to the mud yet but had an excursion pass me  and he drove out to the flats.

Made some calls on Friday, Felt the best about going out of Barnacles so that is were I went out of.

I was able to drive out in the suv with my portable, so I picked a flat/area where there was no one else and setup in 27 fow. There was a handful of people who had driven out farther south then me so you can get around a bit but not sure exactly how far.

I ended up catching 25 eyes or so all 13"-16.5", no piggies. May have to try searching the gravel/rocks for some bigger fish as some of the reports I have heard sounds like some bigger fish being caught on the rocks.

Silver spoon seemed best for me.

As of two days ago, there was still some 8" spots going to the mud from the north end. Warm days like today will also move the sheet around, and there will be cracks and heaves.

Be very careful.

Any Road condition updates? I'm thinking on heading up Saturday morning and was wondering if anyone knows if a SUV  can get to sequice or 7/8 mile, center bar flats without any concerns?

Sounds like Terry's is a no go due to the ice heave, anyone make it out there from Twin Pines or Red Door?

Either way I will back some calls tomorrow to the resorts and then hopefully i will have a report on Monday.

the warm temps last weekend and wind has moved the ice around and it hard to get to those mud flats. people have broke through on ridges from the east trying to get to 7 or 8 mile the west side has a bunch of littler heaves besides the big one that only wheeler and of that sort have been able to make it through. I have heard a few people make it from myr mar area or red door and barnacle are your best options.
