smallie questions

So I have fished Mille lacs for years, but always chased walleyes. I just bought a place up by wigwam bay and am looking to do some small mouth fishing. I grew up fishing small mouth on the Mississippi in the Monticello area. So I know plenty of tactics but mainly river orientated. Does anyone have any must know tips for chasing small mouth on mille lacs? Im not looking for secrets spots, but curious what structure on the big lake they prefer out there. And what types of rigs everyone uses. I appreciate any help! Thanks!

Rock piles, big boulders, docks, points, rock sand transition area's.

Yep, just like Search said, boulders or bigger rocks mixed in with sand are always good. Depends where they are in the spawning process. There's tons and tons of that cobblestone type rock on Mille Lacs so what would be considered "good" smallie habitat on most lakes is not so special on Mille Lacs. You have to find areas that are unique with multiple types of bottom content in close proximity like weeds next to rock, docks with sand, etc.
