Headed to the big pond tomorrow- any tips?

Hey guys,

I am planning on taking the day off tomorrow because, well, I want to go fishing. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I won't have much time to prospect. I was thinking of hitting a local lake for crappies in the mid day and then heading to Mille Lacs for the potential of an evening bite. Where should a guy drive out to and set up? Sounded like fishing had been pretty good lately, is this true?

Any tips are more than welcome.

Thanks!

Fished our perm on the south end, banana reef,31fow, small perch during the day, 1 14 walleye all night. My brother had an excellent weekend on the north end, 2 11" perch and a 15" tullibee.😄

If you can go to the flats and fish the edges.Make sure your set up b4 4pm as the best times have been around 4 to sundown.(Sunrise has been so-so.)The only thing we've caught overnight is a couple of small eyes and pout.I do have to admit a surprise catch of a 23 inch northern at around 10 pm one night.(Better water clairity???)Jigging(gold#3 sweedish pimple and minnowhead) for me has out-produced dead sticking by far!c63
