Driving on Mille Lacs

My buddies and I are heading up to Mille Lacs a week from tomorrow. We don't have sleds so I'm hoping we will be able to drive out. Is it pretty safe to drive in general by now or are there spots that we shouldn't drive on? Thanks.

Check out Nitti's Hunters Point facebook page they update their road situation very frequently. As of yesterday morning they are allowing vehicle traffic out. They have a road staked all the way to the boot, by next weekend you should be able to drive just about anywhere. The west side of the lake is a little different, not sure whats what but I've been out there via wheeler and the ice is good at 12"-16" or so but there are some cracks that aren't messing around. I'd call Nitti's and get an update. Might be out there in a sleeper myself if I don't keep heading north. Good Luck.

Fished out of Lybacks on 31st-1st. 16 inches where we are at. With the cold coming there will be no issues next weekend.
