Need Advice on East or West

I'm heading up to Rainy Lake this week. Debating between Ash River and the I Falls Entry. Ive heard the Walleye fishing tends to be better on the East End but its a longer boat trip. We will be loaded heavy. Any Advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm a bit confused on your entries. The Ash river will of course be on Kab unless your planning on taking the boat portage at Kettle Falls to access the far east portion of Rainy. Either way both lakes are finishing up with a fly hatch as of this morning. Fish have been devouring Mayflies for a couple weeks. When the bugs stop emerging it will take a couple days, and the fish will be CRAZY!! We're fishing first line breaks with crawlers right now.
