Another Lowrance H2oc problem...

Crow Hunter

Question

When I run my Lowrance H2oc on the external cord plugged into 12 volts, it indicates it is running on external power but still uses up the batteries; it will shut off once the batteries get low, then I replace the batteries, and it works again. It will not turn on with the batteries out and plugged into the cord. I measured the voltage on the cord, it is putting out 3.5 volts. Any ideas?

Dirty contacts? The pins in the adapter are spring loaded. I'd ensure they move freely and everything is clean. Doesn't take much to stop 3.5 vdc.

Be thankful it works at all. Every thread that has dealt with h20's ends up with them being DOA and Lowrance indicating they don't support it and that you should buy a new one.

A reminder for myself and others that have an h2oc to save your waypoints on a chip time and time again. Those of us that are still lucky to have our units still fully functioning may not be lucky for long.
