Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

It's pretty cool to see all the pics with kids in them. I have three daughters myself and they love to fish.

Truth...that pic from Red Lake? almost looks like me and the father-in-laws rigs in the back ground there...lol I know we were up there for one of the chilly wind blows...with the fresh snow they had it was crazy to watch houses just disappear while looking at them when it would blow!

1st time holding a fish and at 23.5" she picked a good one

Just took out my boy for the first time this Saturday, and I am pretty sure he is hooked for life. He is holding a 10 inch sunfish and his smile was just as big as the fish. Now the wife can go shopping with our daughter and the boy and I cn be chasing fish. I LOVE IT.

Tyler, that last pic with the rat is awesome! What kind of camera did you use or was it edited on a computer? It looks like a painting.

You may want to consider #3 ; Rapala Jiggin Raps, or drop shoting. They both have been putting some nice size suspended slabs topside under some breezy conditions as of late. Fishing sure was downright epic the last week for all species. To bad it looks like "global warmering" is coming to an end for this year, was awesome while it lasted...... Those are some decent perch panman54. LOL!

Pretty remote and flat back there. I haven't been on that exact shoreline but I bet you can pull a boat up there quite easily.

I didnt hear how the second day went yet.  The long term average is 8% success up to 10% during the 2 deer era.  so 5.7% isnt bad for day 1.   Cooler weather will hopefully help us second weekenders. I havent seen much for rubs or scrapes here yet, should be starting any day.

HooDoo Point, Everett Bay public landing, or the Casino are all good landings if you want to fish Big Bay. The Y-Store or  the Food and Fuel in Tower both have good bait. Cliff

Anything from moccasin point west can be pretty spotty with Verizon. If you're on big bay it's tough to beat

I just read an article in the paper recently, that pout fest might be relocated to Lake Bemidji in 2018. It never gave a reason why though. Anyone know anything?

Lauren (Bubba) Sawatsky has a storage facility just north of Cook on 24.  Might give him a call. http://www.vermilionbarginginc.com/htmls/storage.html 218 666 5512

There is a problem with the latency of satellite.  Makes loading pages slow.    I agree that a cell phone data plan/hotspot is your best bet.  I think Verizon on East end, and ATT on West end are the choices.   ATT has a tower near Cook, and on south shore of Frazier as mentioned.
