Keysks42: I'm sure hoping it holds together I'm headed back on 3/24. I'll be using Riverbend houses so I'm sure they will be able to get us there if I can't drive myself. Looks like pretty much the same weather all next week too. Last year we had to pull the plug on our trip the same time in March, after that it got cold and things firmed up pretty good for the late season. Just have to sit back and see what happens I guess. cool

Our group will be up renting from Zipple Bay March 18-21 - our plan is to use the sleeper for base camp and drive the truck and portables around throughout the day - I'm with you guys, hopefully the roads stay in good shape cause we are really looking forward to this trip!

It's going to be close. I think you will be good. Everyone has different standards for what is and isn't safe to drive in. If you have an ATV, just plan on bringing that along

How thick is the ice around say pine island and the mouth of the river leading to pine island? I am headed up this weekend got a 1-ton pick up and a 21 ft sleeper. Should I plan on sleeping on dry land and bringing the wheeler and pop up? What roads are the thickest? I am not worried about slush and snow I am tall enough to go right threw it as long as my 12,000 pound truck and 4,000 pound shack dont go falling threw :-(

Morris Points Roads are in great shape and they do an excellent job plowing some off shots for wheel houses. It goes out about 7.5 miles To the North West. The roads were in great shape and it was more then 30" of ice.
