Best Walleye lakes within 1 Hour

Recommended Posts

Jaypo

I have heard many people say there are a ton of excellent walleye lakes within an hour of the cities. Outside of Minnetonka, what lakes do you see as the best for consistent walleye action?
I'm a fan of Green in Chisago and South Center, but wanted to get some new ideas.

St, Croix and Mississippi rivers. Tetonka and sakahta lakes by waterville, are where I go to consistenty catch walleyes within and hour of the metro. Also the chisago area lakes are good for me but I usually end up chasing the big bass when I go here. Adam

You can also try IN the metro. Some of the area lakes have decent fishing for eyes.
