Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

EBass, thanks for the quick response. The reason for my post is because I was at the North Arm access on 4-6-04 and there was a sign that read "Closed for repairs" across the access. It was dated 11-10-03.
Any thoughts any body?

Thanks in advance

Last fall they closed Maxwell to rebuild the ramp. That is complete, but I don't think they finished the North Arm ramp.

That may be why it is blocked off still.

Mr Special

As of last friday there was a sign and some cones blocking off the access. Oh caught a cold and had one muskie biggun come chasing after my bobber.

That's a bummer that's it's closed off. But if repairs are needed now is the time to do them since the water is low.

As stated above Maxwell is like a couple of blocks away.

Anybody know if or when the access at North Arm is going to open?

It better be open. Grays Bay was open so that one should be to. I haven't been past there, but I'm pretty positive that you're good to go.

Big Northern

There was one rig in the lot last night at 8 so someone used it.

Also, the docks are in at the Maxwell ramp.

The access is still closed. Actually the Spring Park access is "supposed" to be closed as of 11/10/03 also, but people have been moving the cones and using it any how.

I'd imagine they'll get things taken care of before the summer rush???

Looks like you had a better bite than I did. I really didn’t expect all my gear to be that bad hand pulling out.  Big time failure on my part to not bring my wheeler.  I have too much of a spearing Jones to have left it all back at the truck. I brought a few gills, a seed, a crappie and a 25 inch walleye home.  Biggest gill went 8.  I went through a half dozen heavy pike suckers on the tip up but never dropped the spear.  Only saw one 20 incher that never really got in the hole.  The walleye inhaled the sucker and got the hooks in the throat. Glad you guys got some nice ones!

I found a new unopened Minnesota V6.0 on Craigslist for 75$ and it was only 2 miles from my house saved me a trip to Cabela's.

I’m sure we will still be waiting for a bit for even walkable ice but hopefully people in the area can keep there eyes and ears open and let the rest of us know how the ice is and when it get here.
