5 posts in this topic

does anyone know if you can buy an 08 license right now? with the new expiration dates on our 07's can a person that didn't buy a 07 license get a 08?

i have a buddy and his gf coming up on a trip with me to url and he planned on just getting his license after the end of feb for the 08 season like normal since they didn't have time to fish in 07 but now we aren't sure if you can even get a new one now?

Minnesota 2007 fishing and shelter licenses valid through April 30 (February 28, 2008)

A legislative change effective Aug. 1, 2007 extended the expiration date of 2007 fishing licenses for resident and nonresident anglers through April 30, 2008, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Any stamps or tags to harvest particular species also are valid through April 30, 2008.

Angling licenses, stamps and tags for 2008, which will be effective from March 1 through April 30, 2009, went on sale Feb. 18.

This is from the DNR website. Good luck.

I have the Milwaukee m18 fuel hammer drill, 5ah batteries, never worried about keeping them warm last year and never had a problem.

Thanks for the ice report, Sculpin.  With the weather forecasted for the upcoming week, I'm sure I'll be up there next weekend, hopefully walking out from the northwest side.   van, yeah, I hear you.  I've been up to LOW a few times, and it is very fun to know there's the chance of catching a monster....but driving all that way for a bucket full of 12'' fish?  Not my cup of tea. I'll save the money and buy three dozen T-bones to make it through the winter. I'm sure people who know the lake better than I do have done better on the weekends I'm up there, but the reports at the resort we used were pretty similar.    I like the northwest side on ML because it's where we've been for almost 20 years, but it also has close access to sand, rocks, whatever weeds remain, mud flats, transitions, etc. The only thing we don't have up there is extensive gravel.

I'm curious to see how this works out. Do you plan to keep the battery warm while not is use on the water?
