Havent seen the wild play in over 2 weeks. Hows Chris Simon playing? He hit anyone in the face with his stick yet?

Not yet! He looks like he hasn't played in awhile. I didn't catch the game lastnight but he hasn't showed much of a physical presence. ( I thought thats why we brought him in) my opinion, waste of a draft pick, unless he shows somethings, and give us a boost in the playoffs with "clean" physcial play!!

Last night he tried dropping his gloves with someone (I don't remember who), but the other guy wouldn't go. The announcers were joking that he had them hanging from his fingertips. I would agree though, he looks pretty sluggish so far and hasn't been much of a factor.

you can tell the players on the other team know hes out there. So far its his presence that is keeping the other teams from any rough stuff. Same thing when boogyman is on the ice, they always know were he is.

Yeah, He looks a little sluggish, but hopefully that will get better with time. It was funny though when he had his gloves hanging there, and as soon as the other guy realized what was happening, he turned away fast. The guy probably figured it been awhile since Chris stepped on someone. So the other teams are certainly aware of his presence.

He wanted to go a few different times last night as soon as he makes that move to drop the gloves the other guys will skate away. Like the other guy said the players on the other team know any time he's on the ice and keeps them from trying any rough stuff. On the other hand any body see the hits Fedoruk and Radiovivic or how ever you spell it laid down?

Those were some sweet hits. Hopefully, the next time we play the Flamers Simon will get a chance to smoke Phanuef.

Coach Jacques told Simon if someone wants to fight, he fights. Anyone read Chris Simon "In My Own Words" on the wild homepage?

Simon has played on the power play, camped out in front of the goalie. As much as I like Mark Parrish, I like having a bigger, tougher guy out there. Or at least an option to get a bigger, tougher guy out there.

Was the bad rotator cup cause from catching to many big fish? If that's the case I'll take one for the team

Heck of a float today!  I released 22 and biggest was just over 19.  Lotta nice sized fish.  My friend was out for the first time on the river and just 2nd time in a yak and he had a ball. Ended up with 8 after he started using my stick baits and got the hang of it.  First time up on that stretch this year.

The walleye bite on the East end of Vermilion has been very good since the opener. Some days can be a little challenging but we have managed to limit out every day out since the opener! Not to often that that has happened! The average keeper size has been very consistent also. 14" to 16" fish most days out. Getting a few slot fish also. 26" is our biggest so far but quite a few 20" to 23" walleyes too. Lindy rigs with a glow bead and pike suckers has been my only presentation since the opener. Fish are being caught in 14' to 33' depths. Cliff

Herky Jr. picked up a couple nice white bass, one trolling and one jigging. We turned them into delicious fish tacos!

Yah!  The foldable ones you can.    Or, if you don't get a roof carrier you could just leave one hanging out an open window or the hatch like you're making a lumber run.

They are BITING - bugs that is - har!   Bass have been very good some days and slooooow on others. Bugs have been awful last few trips. But the dragonflies have hatched out so they will be putting the gobble on the black flies and mosquitoes so things should improve.   Walleyes have finally showed up on the bank. Bass have been there awhile now. Went to Pelican one day and got some largemouths. The special regs there have really helped the bass fishing. Crappie are in spawning colors at several different lakes I have sampled this last week. Everything pretty much shallow but did get some walleyes in 15 FOW,
