Most hunting groups I know would be relentless to the guy that showed up with a poodle.

But I do hear good things about them.

Is that doggy racism Lip???? I guess I would be guilty of it too, plus it would be too much work tying all those pink ribbons in their hair before going hunting. I think wesminster killed the poodle breed with all the foo foo ness ( I think they look like a Qtip). but also heard they make good water dogs....

Pretty sure it was in Gun Dog mag that I read an article about them. Complete opposite. Great on land for geese and pheasants, lucky to make it back to shore in the water. May have to really search to still find a line that has remaining hunting instint. Think the same article had a story about a snow goose guide in Missouri or Nebraska who's buddies kept kidnapping the poodle and dyeing it pink. Said it was rather embarrassing with the clients when the sun came up.

The only reason they allow you to have a gun while archery hunting deer is if you have a ccw. They did this because if they didn't it would impede on your rights to carry.   Thank you for contacting the Minnesota DNR.   You are correct, your friend is not. Even having both licenses, a person can't have both weapons with them at the same time. That person would need to choose which weapon and license to use, can’t do both hunts with both weapons at the same time.   Please feel free to contact us if you have further questions either by email or by calling 888-646-6367 M-F 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

I have caught them on Vermilion when the mayflies are hatching in the evening by using a fly rod with small poppers or may fly type dry flies. Just cast to the surfacing fish. A spinning rod with an Adjusta Float with poppers or flies may work even better. Cliff

I have also wondered why there are no Sauger in Vermilion. I have never caught one there or heard of one being caught by anyone else. Cliff
