Lunar Eclipse

7 posts in this topic

Wasn't sure where to post this..Since I'm from Janesville and this is SouthCentral MN section, I figured I'd post here.

While I was out that night, I figured why not take shots of the moon. My hands froze to the point where I couldn't feel my fingers anymore. Couldn't even press the shutter button on the camera!

Thought maybe you'd want to see it. Here it is...

Did this lunar have any effect on the fishing during that period? I wasn't on the lake. I was at home taking the shot. So I wasn't sure if that had any effect.

Beautiful picture!

I was out on Madison and if it had any effect it turned them on. My buddy and I limited out on crappies. It was nice: I would go watch the moon for a few minutes, then go and warm up in the fish house!

Thanks. I really thought about going out and fish that night...but I had my kids with. Didn't want to bring them out in the cold. At least I got to bring out my canon out and take photos. It was worth it. COLD! Took me a good half an hour to get the feelings back on my fingers!

Mountain Dew, head to the photo sharing forum and post in there. Lots of other pics and similar shots to yours. That is a great sequence shot and I like the way you added the times. Nice job!

Wow that is a little discouraging. Looked at the DNR lake info for the last survey which was done on Big Trout lake in 2011. Not one Laker was caught in any of the test net types! Still shows their stocking them but none showed up. Anyone try it on opener and find any Lakers?

Anyone go out there last weekend for opener? If so how was the ice and the bite? Giving this weekend a thought?

I personally like the cold and dont mind it. But this week is a nice change and prob wont help the ice building much!

I remembered I wrote this question. So I'm replying back. I was lucky enough to have a relative who had a Smith and Wesson Model 66-2 .357 mag (mint condition) that he was willing to part with. I haven't shot it yet. Been busy. Anyway now what recommendations are out there for 38 shells for plinking. I've read about the problems if using to heavy a load. Thanks
