drifts on burntside?

3 posts in this topic

Anyone been out or looked at burntside since monday? Have the drifts gotten any worse or does it still look drivable if you avoid the bigger drifts? Thinking of heading out in the morning and just wanted to know what im looking at dealing with. Thanks,

Blake

Full-size 4x4 no problem. Downsize 4x4 a little care is required but should be OK.

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
